FAQ

Do I need to buy equipment?

Practice requires cleats, mouthguard, water, and workout clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Don’t feel pressured to buy equipment before coming to practice.  We’ll happily share our extra gear with you and point you to cost effective options for everything else.

I’m out of shape, is that a problem?
Not at all.  Players come to us at all levels of fitness. There isn’t a more fun way to get exercise than playing rugby with your best friends.

Is rugby dangerous?

There is always risk with sports, but rugby is one of the safest contact sports in the world.  The rules of the game mandate safe tackling and prohibit any contact with the head. Rugby is measurably safer than football.

May I watch practice before I join in?
You’re welcome to meet the team in any way you are comfortable. You can watch a practice, join us for a drink at The Hole in the Wall, or cheer us on at a game. There isn’t a wrong way to meet the team.
